Cancer, the second most common cause of death after heart disease, is a broad term. It is a disease that results when cellular changes cause the uncontrolled growth and division of cells. Some types of cancer cause slow cell growth while others cause cells to grow and divide at a rapid rate. Some forms of cancer result in visible growth called tumors, while others such as leukemia, do not result in any form of visible growth.
Cancer is more curable if detected early, although some form of cancers develop with showing any symptoms.
